After what seems an age of Arsenal leading the charge the initiative now falls with Man City to retain the League Title. They were odds on all through the league campaign but never really looked like doing it, but with their resurgence as the league draws to a close it is almost assured. City vs Arsenal was the big game at the Etihad which most had deemed a title decider. City have now come out on top and that means with their two games in hand they could have this league tied up with a game to spare unless Arsenal drop points.
Where did it go wrong for Arsenal though with such a commanding lead at one point, especially when City lost to Man United it looked like Arsenal would run away with it but with a leaky defence leading to three draws and a loss in the last four games it is no surprise the gap is now at two points. City have been in mega form and are scoring goals for fun, it was always going to be a daunting task to beat City for Arsenal especially with them in a dip and City coming off that huge win at Bayern to get to the Semi Final of the Champions League.
It’s not over yet but we cannot see City throwing this away now, it will still be a tight run to the finish but City could be three-time champions in a row for the first time since Fergusons United many years ago. Will City finally get the treble and the long-awaited Champions League, we cannot wait to find out!
